Adjust Task Settings

Once you have a Task Group selected in the Production Task Manager, you can easily modify task settings:

Note: settings are automatically saved as you change them.

Task Name

You can adjust the task name by clicking into the current name field and changing the text.

Sort

The sort order is the order in which the tasks are shown in the group. You can adjust the sort by clicking in the Sort box and entering a new number.

Machine

To associate a machine with a task, select the machine from the Machine dropdown for the task (or select None to remove a machine from the task).

Resources and SKUs:

There are edit links shown for Resources and SKUs, which the number of resources and products currently associated with the task in parenthesis. For more information on managing these, see Assign Resources To Tasks and Assign Product SKUs to Tasks.

Quantity, Square Foot, Linear Feet

These settings define the capacity of the task per hour. A task should only use one of the three, depending on the type of measurement being used for that task (for example, an edging task would have an LF capacity, while cutting would use SF). To change the values, just enter a new value, or clear out a value to remove it.

Load

This setting defines the load for the task, which is used in calculating the amount of work. To adjust it, enter a new number, or clear it out to remove it.

Default

If a task is set to default, it will be selected automatically when scheduling Production tasks (unless a task with an associated SKU is defined and the production order contains that SKU). Check the default box to make the task default, or uncheck it to remove the default status.

Inactive

If a task is no longer being used, check Inactive to remove it. It won't be shown on Production related screens. You can uncheck it to make it active again, as long as the Task Group that it is in is also not set to Inactive.
