Slabsmith with Inventory Integration
Slabsmith is used in conjunction with Bizops to accurately measure and record the actual dimensions and usable area of Slabs.
The Bizops Slabsmith Integrator program is a Desktop application that is used to move data across the Bizops and Slabsmith Databases.
The program needs to be installed on the same Server or network environment as the Slabsmith Program. The program also needs to be able to access the Bizops instance from the server it is installed on.
The process of moving labs to and from Slabsmith is shown below.
Mapping Inventory for Product Type Slabs into Slabsmith
For slabs to be sent to Slabsmith, their product type in Bizops must be set to "Slabs".
Moving “Blank” Slabs From Bizops to Slabsmith
There are 2 ways to move the “Blank” (i.e. Slabs that need to be measured) Slabs from Bizops to Slabsmith for photo and resizing.
Option 1 : Via Open POs
Here are the steps
1) In Bizops Create a PO for the Slabs Product GRNTAMABLU and Finalize the PO.
2)Launch the SlabSmith Integrator Program. Click on the “Receive From Open POs” button. This will create blank Slabs in Slabsmith for quantity ordered on the PO in Bizops.
Option 2: Moving Slabs that have already been received in BizOps to Slabsmith for photo and resizing.
We have added a new function within the BizOps inventory center that enables slabs in BizOps to be moved from BizOps to Slabsmith.
This process involves clicking on the check box within the inventory item(s) that needs to be moved to Slabsmith and then clicking on Queue Selected Items For Slabsmith Sync ..
An example is provided below.
Run the Slab Smith Integrator and Click on the “Receive Selected Slabs” Button. This will download the inventory received in Step 1 as a blank Slab in Slabsmith.
After either of Steps represented above are complete, Open the Slabsmith application and click on Slabmaker. In Slabmaker select the option to re-photograph an existing slab. This action will launch the Slabsmith slab manager window.
Within the slab manager window a search for the BizOps PONumber ( for option 1 ) or barcode number ( for option 2) within the POnumber or BizopsInventoryid field in Slabsmith. Then click the find button. Or Click the All Button
