Assembly Management
To convert a product to an assembly, select Convert to Assembly from the product Product Actions menu on the product detail page of the product you want to convert:
Note: if the product is already an assembly, you will have the Edit Assembly menu option instead:
This will take you to edit assembly page, where you can manage the bill of materials and options for the assembly:
You can add new materials to the bill of materials by searching for the product in the first section and then clicking on Add to Asembly.
Once it has been added, you can adjust the options in the bill of materials section. Specifically, you can adjust the quantities of each item in the bill of materials, choose whether to autoallocate the materials when producing the item, changing the sort order and more. you can also remove an item from the bill of materials using Remove.
