Inactive Product Notification Setup

An email can be configured to receive notifications when a product is marked inactive (and reactivated), as well as when someone tries to add stock to an inactive product.


To set up the notification email address, go to:


Admin-->Products-->Product Settings



You can separate multiple email addresses with a semi-colon to send a notification to more than one user.



Once the notification email is set up, a notification will be sent in the following situations:


1) A user tries to Add Stock to an inactive product. Instead of the Add Stock page, they will see a message:




The email notification lists the inactive product and the user name of the user:



2) A product is marked inactive (or marked active again) on the product detail page.

The notification email shows the name of the product activated or deactivated and the user name:
