Producing An Assembly
To create a production order to produce an assembly, go into the Assembly Center (Products-->Center) and select the assembly to produce.
You can also quickly get there by going to Products, seaching for the SKU and selecting the Produce link that appears:
Enter the quantity you want to produce and click Create Production Order:
You will be taken into the production order that was created. You will see a section for producing the assembly:
click on Start Production to allocate the bill of materials to the Production Order. You can enter the quantity you want to currently produce if it is less than the full amount.
If you are not using part of the BoM for this production order, you can click the red X next to the materials to delete. It will only affect the current Production Order.
Once the batch has been completed, click on Complete Production.
This will complete the production order batch and bring the item into inventory as a finished good (shown at the bottom of the production order)
The bill of materials allocated to the production order is also shown on the right:
If all of the items were completed, the Production Order will change to status Complete:
